Morgan, Melanie, Allison, Clay, Jarred and I all made it safely to Mexico! Once we landed in Mexico City we went through customs. There was a button that each person presses on the way out, and (by random) if after pressed the button it blinks red, it means you had to have your bag checked thoroughly. When I pressed the botton...it turned red, so I had to get my back checked by another person. Meanwhile, everyone else had already gone through to the host family and friends waiting outside customs. Finally they were done checking my bag and I walked out and saw a fairly big crowd ( a mix of host family and friends of the hosts). While I waited for my host family to come, my friends and I were having to pose for quite a few pictures. It was funny. Emmanuel and Florivet came and we talked a little. Emmanuel took my suitcase on the way to wait for the bus. The bus ride wasn't bad, it was fun to look out the window. At some point I fell asleep though. :) There were a lot of cinder block houses with clothes hanging up outside and several piles of trash being burned...
The bus dropped us off at the school and from there everyone went with their host family. We went to Florivet's grandmothers house and all her family was there. It was very sweet. I ended up watching 3 hours of their grandparents wedding. It was interesting.
For dinner we went to Florivet's house and ordered pineapple pizza. It was really good! The house is very nice and so is the family!
